Chocolate Crinkle Cookies: classic Christmas holiday cookies recipe

Rare to find a man who would not love homemade cookies. And what a pleasure to get children, especially on the eve of holidays and their participation in the process of cooking.

This recipe Chocolate Crinkle Cookies is one of my favorites. Magnificent views and fantastic taste, quick and easy to prepare, these chocolate chip cookies are always good for any table at any time. And what is interesting is that the dough for chocolate chip cookies we do with the addition of apple sauce. So they turn crispy outside and soft inside.

Chocolate Crinkle Cookies -Recipe

Ingredients (for 30 pieces):

  • Sugar 1 cup (200ml)
  • 1 cup of cocoa
  • 1 cup apple sauce
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1  teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon  salt
  • 2 + 1/4 cups flour
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Directions:

  1. In large bowl, mix sugar, cocoa, applesauce, oil and vanilla until sugar is dissolved.
  2. Separately, mix the flour, salt and baking soda, add to the bowl and knead the dough.
  3. Put it in the refrigerator to cool, 2 hours.
  4. Preheat oven to 180C.
  5. Cover with a sheet of baking paper. Take out the dough from the refrigerator, it breaks away from the pieces and make balls with a diameter of 3-4 cm.
  6. Pour the powdered sugar in a bowl and crumble the resulting pellets.
  7. We spread on the prepared cookie sheet, leaving a minimum distance of 4 cm between them.
  8. We put in the oven and bake 10 minutes.
  9. We take out, cool and enjoy! Bon Appetit!
